We skip the hiking-heavy days and focus on the highlights: Downhill Mountain Biking from the high Andes to the jungle, White Water Rafting on the Urubamba River, and a trek along the scenic railway to Aguas Calientes. It’s an action-packed route for energetic travelers who want to arrive at the citadel with a pulse-pounding story.
Express Itinerary
Day 1: Biking & Rafting
Early start. Drive to Abra Malaga (4,316m). Downhill biking to Huamanmarca. Afternoon rafting Class III/IV rapids. Overnight in Santa Teresa.
Day 2: Zipline & Trek
Morning Zipline adventure (optional/included depending on package). Hike from Hydroelectric to Aguas Calientes along the tracks. Hotel overnight.
Day 3: Machu Picchu
Early bus to the citadel. Guided tour of Machu Picchu. Afternoon train return to Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco.
