Express Itinerary

Day 1: Biking & Rafting

Early start. Drive to Abra Malaga (4,316m). Downhill biking to Huamanmarca. Afternoon rafting Class III/IV rapids. Overnight in Santa Teresa.

Day 2: Zipline & Trek

Morning Zipline adventure (optional/included depending on package). Hike from Hydroelectric to Aguas Calientes along the tracks. Hotel overnight.

Day 3: Machu Picchu

Early bus to the citadel. Guided tour of Machu Picchu. Afternoon train return to Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco.

It is a 3-hour downhill ride on a paved road. You need basic bike handling skills. It's exhilarating but accessible.

Can I bring my luggage?

No, there is no vehicle support on Day 2 (hiking). You must carry your own backpack with 3 days of clothes. Keep it light!

are the hot springs included?

We usually visit the Cocalmayo hot springs in Santa Teresa on Day 1 (time permitting). Entrance is paid locally (~10 soles).

What class are the rapids?

Depending on the season, the Urubamba River offers Class III and III+ rapids. It is a fun, splashing ride suitable for beginners.

Is the return train included?

Yes, we include the Expedition or Voyager train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, then a bus to Cusco.

Do I need hiking boots?

Light hiking boots or sturdy trail running shoes are perfect. You don't need heavy leather boots for this route.
