Travel information should show its work.
How TrueAndes researches, reviews and updates the guidance published across our tours, Journal and availability pages.
Who publishes this site.
TrueAndes is a Cusco-based travel team planning Inca Trail, Machu Picchu and tailor-made journeys in Peru. The TrueAndes Editorial Team maintains the travel guides and reviews operational information with the same team that handles enquiries and trip planning.
We do not publish registration numbers, licences, awards or individual credentials unless they can be verified and kept current.
What we check before publishing.
Travel guidance changes. Our pages separate durable context from details that need a date, source or direct confirmation.
- Source hierarchy
- Official regulations and destination authorities come first. Provider data and local operational observations are identified for what they are, never presented as government inventory.
- Dates and changes
- Articles display their latest update. Time-sensitive pages identify the observation date, and material changes are reviewed before copy is republished.
- Planning versus confirmation
- Editorial guidance helps travellers compare options. Permits, tickets, transport, hotels, inclusions and final prices are reconfirmed for the requested date before payment.
- Corrections
- If a reader identifies an error, we review the underlying source and update the page and modification date when a correction is required.
Availability is always source-dated.
The Inca Trail and Machu Picchu calendars are planning tools. They show dated observations received from the availability provider; they are not the Ministry of Culture booking platform and do not guarantee inventory.
Commercial content does not change the source standard.
TrueAndes sells and plans tours shown on this website. That commercial relationship is clear on product and checkout pages. It does not turn an observation into official inventory or replace written confirmation for a booking.
One policy across four languages.
The same editorial standard applies to English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and French. If wording differs between a translation and an operational confirmation, the TrueAndes team verifies the detail directly before booking.
