Machu Picchu admission is divided into three circuits and ten routes. Select a route below to review source-dated spaces by day; choose an available date to reveal its entry times.
Routes 1-C, 1-D, 3-C and 3-D operate only during the official high season.
What this availability means.
The calendar helps with planning, but it is not the Ministry of Culture checkout and selecting a date does not hold a ticket.
- Three circuits
- Circuit 1 prioritises panoramic views, Circuit 2 includes the classic citadel routes, and Circuit 3 explores the lower sector and mountain extensions. The best choice depends on mobility, interests and the photographs you want.
- Named ticket
- Machu Picchu tickets are issued for a specific visitor, date, route and entry time. Traveller details must match the identification used at the entrance.
- Source-dated
- Spaces are supplied by TrueAndes' licensed data provider and cached securely on our server. Availability can change after observation, particularly on popular Route 2 and mountain routes.

Which Machu Picchu circuit is best for a first visit?
Route 2-A or 2-B usually offers the most recognisable citadel experience, but the right route depends on current availability, mobility and whether your itinerary includes a mountain hike. Our team compares the route rules before confirming.
Does selecting a date reserve my ticket?
No. It prepares a request with your chosen route and date. TrueAndes reconfirms the latest availability and traveller requirements before asking for payment.
Why do some routes have fewer entry times?
Each official route has its own operating periods, entry windows and capacity. Routes 1-C, 1-D, 3-C and 3-D are seasonal, while mountain extensions have different limits from the classic citadel routes.
Do I also need an Inca Trail permit?
