Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026.
TrueAndes respects your privacy and processes personal data in accordance with Peru’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 29733 and its current regulations. This notice explains what we collect, why we use it and the choices available to you.
Who is responsible for your data
TrueAndes is the travel operator responsible for the personal data collected through this website. Privacy requests may be sent to [email protected] or delivered to our Cusco office in Baja Santiago, Cusco, Peru.
Data we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, country of residence, preferred travel dates, group size, dietary or accessibility needs, enquiry details, booking history, payment status and communications with our team. We also receive technical information such as IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, cookies and security logs.
Payment card details are processed securely by Stripe or another payment provider shown at checkout. TrueAndes does not store your full card number or security code.
Why we use your data
- To answer enquiries and design tailor-made itineraries.
- To confirm tours, permits, trains, hotels, guides and other requested services.
- To process the reservation deposit, track the remaining balance and issue booking communications.
- To meet legal, tax, accounting, security and fraud-prevention obligations.
- To improve the website and measure its performance.
- To send travel updates or marketing only when you have requested them or when applicable law allows it. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Who receives your data
We share only the information needed with service providers involved in your trip, which may include licensed permit systems, guides, transport companies, hotels, rail operators and entrance providers. Website hosting, email, forms, WooCommerce, Stripe, fraud prevention and technical support providers may also process data on our behalf. WhatsApp, Tripadvisor or other third-party links are governed by their own privacy notices when you choose to use them.
Some providers may process data outside Peru. Where an international transfer is required, we use reasonable contractual, technical and organisational safeguards and limit the data to the service requested.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep the site, language preference, cart, checkout and security features working. Analytics or marketing cookies, when enabled, should be used only according to the choices available in the cookie banner. You can also control cookies through your browser, although disabling essential cookies may prevent checkout from working.
How long we keep data
Enquiry data is kept only as long as needed to answer and follow up on the request. Booking, payment and invoice records are retained for the periods required by tax, accounting, consumer and legal obligations. Security logs and cookies have shorter operational retention periods. Data is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer necessary.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, cancellation or opposition regarding your personal data (ARCO rights), and may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Send the request to [email protected] with enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant record. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may contact Peru’s National Authority for Personal Data Protection.
Security and children
We use access controls, encrypted connections, backups and service-provider safeguards designed to protect personal data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. This website is not directed to children acting independently; information about a minor must be supplied by a parent or legal guardian when it is necessary for a booking.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our services or legal obligations change. The latest version and update date will always appear on this page.
