Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 19, 2026.

These terms govern bookings and travel services arranged through TrueAndes. By submitting a booking and paying the reservation deposit, you confirm that you have reviewed the selected itinerary, price, inclusions, exclusions and these terms. A tailor-made proposal may include additional written conditions; where they differ, the accepted proposal controls that booking.

Prices and booking payments

Tour prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise. The price shown for a tour is the full trip value per person. Checkout normally charges a 50% reservation deposit through Stripe. The remaining balance is never charged automatically and becomes payable only according to the written confirmation or invoice sent by our Cusco team.

Bank, card, currency-conversion or transfer fees imposed by a payment provider are the traveller’s responsibility unless the written proposal states otherwise. Airfares, train fares, entrance fees and third-party services remain subject to availability until confirmed.

Confirmation and permits

An online payment records your booking request; it does not by itself guarantee a regulated permit, ticket, hotel, train or other third-party service. TrueAndes verifies the operational services and sends written confirmation. Inca Trail permits are issued for identified travellers, are subject to government capacity and generally cannot be transferred or renamed. The traveller is responsible for providing passport details exactly as required.

Traveller changes and cancellations

The reservation deposit is non-refundable once TrueAndes has committed funds or secured non-refundable services. Unless the accepted proposal states otherwise, cancellation within 30 days of departure may result in the loss of all amounts paid. Requests to change dates, names or services are subject to availability, supplier rules and any resulting costs. Unused services, late arrival or voluntary early departure are not refundable.

Changes or cancellation by TrueAndes

Safety, weather, road conditions, government restrictions, strikes, permit rules, supplier failure or other circumstances outside reasonable control may require a change to the itinerary. TrueAndes may provide a comparable alternative where practical. If TrueAndes cancels a confirmed service for reasons within its control, the traveller may choose an available alternative or a refund of the affected service. We are not responsible for independent expenses such as visas, vaccinations, insurance or non-refundable flights.

Traveller responsibilities

Adventure travel involves altitude, uneven terrain, weather and other inherent risks. By participating, travellers acknowledge those risks and confirm that they are fit for the itinerary or have obtained appropriate medical advice.

Suppliers and liability

TrueAndes arranges services with independent hotels, carriers, rail operators, permit authorities and other suppliers. We remain responsible for performing the services we directly provide, but cannot control independent suppliers or events beyond reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Photos and marketing

TrueAndes will not rely on a booking alone as permission to use an identifiable traveller’s image for advertising. We request consent where a photo or video will be used for promotional purposes, and that consent may be withdrawn for future use.

Complaints, law and contact

Please raise any issue promptly with the guide or operations team so we can try to resolve it during the trip. Written complaints and questions may be sent to [email protected]. These terms are governed by the laws of Peru and disputes are subject to the competent authorities and courts of Cusco, without limiting mandatory consumer rights.
