Questions before you go

Clear answers for planning this tour.

How early do I need to book the Inca Trail?

As early as possible. Permits are limited and sell out months in advance, so we recommend booking 6 to 8 months ahead.

Do I have to carry my own tent?

No. Our porters carry the camp, food and kitchen equipment. You only carry a small daypack with water, a camera and snacks.

What sleeping bag do I need?

Nights can drop below freezing. We recommend a 4-season sleeping bag rated to -10°C or -15°C, and you can rent a premium one from us.

Are there showers on the trail?

Yes. Our luxury camp includes a private hot shower tent, prepared for you each afternoon.

What kind of food do we eat on the trek?

Our private chef prepares gourmet Peruvian and international meals with fresh ingredients, and can adapt the menu to your diet.

Is the train back included?

Yes. The Vistadome Observatory train from Aguas Calientes is included, followed by a private transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
