Questions before you go
Clear answers for planning this tour.
How high is Puno?
Puno is about 3,827 m (12,556 ft) above sea level. This itinerary starts in the lower Sacred Valley and continues to Cusco for a gradual acclimatization before you reach Lake Titicaca.
Is there hot water in Puno?
Yes. Titilaka is a luxury lodge with hot water, heating and comfortable rooms overlooking the lake.
Are the boats safe?
Yes. We use a private boat with life jackets and an experienced crew for the excursion on Lake Titicaca.
Is the lake cold?
The water of Lake Titicaca is cold all year, and mornings and evenings on the altiplano are chilly. Warm layers, sunscreen and a hat are recommended, as the sun is strong at this altitude.
Is the journey to Puno boring?
Not at all. It is a private guided journey with stops at the Andahuaylillas church, the Raqchi temple and La Raya pass, plus a gourmet lunch.

To confirm your booking, a 50% deposit is required. This deposit lets us secure all reservations in advance, including hotels, flights, trains and Machu Picchu entrance tickets. The remaining 50% is paid directly in Cusco upon arrival, before your tour begins.
