Questions before you go

Clear answers for planning this tour.

Why does the tour start in the Sacred Valley?

The Sacred Valley sits lower than Cusco, so your body adapts to the altitude more comfortably before visiting Machu Picchu and the city.

Is this tour private?

All transport, guides and visits are private and exclusively for your group.
Which trains are included?

Can I upgrade the hotels?

In Cusco we can upgrade you to Belmond Monasterio or Belmond Palacio Nazarenas for an additional cost.

How fit do I need to be?

This is an easy tour. Walking is light and at a relaxed pace, suitable for most travelers

How far in advance should I book?

Machu Picchu tickets and trains sell out quickly, so we recommend booking at least 3 months in advance, especially from May to September

How do I confirm my booking?

A 50% deposit confirms your tour. The balance is paid in cash upon arrival in Cusco.
