Totally Peru in Luxury: The Ultimate 24-Day Grand Expedition
This private journey is the most complete way to experience Peru, from the Pacific desert to the high Andes and deep into the Amazon rainforest, staying at the country's finest hotels and lodges and traveling with private guides at every step.
The route climbs gradually from the coast to Arequipa, Colca and Lake Titicaca, then continues to Cusco along the Route of the Sun in a private vehicle, with stops at Andean villages and colonial churches. In Cusco you explore Palccoyo, the quieter and less crowded rainbow mountain, and enjoy a rest day in the Sacred Valley before the highlight of the trip: a VIP luxury Inca Trail with premium camping, private chef and dedicated porters, arriving at Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate.
The journey ends in the Amazon at Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica, an award-winning eco-lodge on the Madre de Dios River near Puerto Maldonado, with canopy walkways, wildlife excursions and naturalist guides.

Questions before you go
Clear answers for planning this tour.
What makes the Inca Trail VIP?
You hike with a private guide and a dedicated team: premium tents with thick mattresses, a private dining tent, a private toilet tent, a private chef preparing gourmet meals and porters who carry all equipment, so you only carry a light daypack.
Is the Classic Inca Trail mandatory?
No. If you prefer not to hike, we replace the trek with the Vistadome train and extra nights in the Sacred Valley and Aguas Calientes.
Where do we stay in the Amazon?
At Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica, an award-winning eco-lodge on the Madre de Dios River, 45 minutes by boat from Puerto Maldonado. You stay in private cabins with full board and naturalist guides.
Why Palccoyo instead of the classic Rainbow Mountain?
Palccoyo offers the same colorful landscapes with fewer crowds and a much easier walk, which makes the experience more comfortable and exclusive.
How do we travel between regions?
All domestic flights are included, you travel from Lake Titicaca to Cusco aboard the Belmond Andean Explorer, and every road transfer is in a private vehicle with a professional driver.
How do you handle altitude?
The route climbs gradually from the coast to Arequipa, Colca and Lake Titicaca, then includes several days in Cusco and a rest day in the Sacred Valley before the trek, so you are well acclimatized.
Can I bring a suitcase?
Yes. Your main suitcase travels with you in your private vehicle. During the Inca Trail and the Amazon you take a smaller bag, and the rest stays safely stored at your Cusco hotel.
Can children join this tour?
Yes, children are welcome. We adapt the pace and activities to your family. For the Inca Trail, we recommend children aged 8 and older.
How do I confirm my booking?
A 50% deposit confirms your journey and covers hotels, flights, trains, Inca Trail permits and Machu Picchu entry. The remaining 50% is paid directly in Cusco.
